Dr. Surendra Kumar
currently heads bioinformatics team in Oslo Cancer Center Norway. He is responsible for analysis of the NGS data of clinical sample to develop precision medicine. He developed an integrated approach to understand breast cancer heterogeneity by modeling mRNA, copy number alterations, miRNA, and protein in a pathway context utilizing the pathway recognition algorithm using data integration on genomic models (PARADIGM and Pathifier). Prior to this, he was involved in the development of bioinformatic pipelines (CLOTU, ClustEx, BLASTGrabber, AIR and BIR) for ecological and evolutionary studies of microorganisms.
