Noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) is a simple blood test used to screen chromosomal defects in fetus. Around 4% of cell free DNA in mother blood is from fetus which is used for detecting abnormalities in chromosomes after 10 week of pregnancy or later. CVS and amniocentesis are invasive procedures may cause problem to the fetus and mother. NIPT replacing theses invasive methods and offers accurate prenatal diagnosis.
